Toothpastes containing 10 to 60% by weight of polishing agent, 2 to 20% by weight of humidifiers, 0.5 to 5% by weight of water soluble consistency regulators and 0.05 to 0.5% by weight of antibacterial biguanides as well as 1 to 5% by weight of other additives from the group of surfactants which contain aromatic oils and sweeteners, have a particularly high availability of biguanides if the polishing agent is essentially alpha- aluminum oxide trihydrate, the consistency regulators are nonionic polysaccharide derivatives, and the surface active substances are an alkyl glycoside and optionally a nonionogenic solubilizer for aromatic oil, and the sweetener is ester L-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine methyl. |
