The present invention is directed to an in vitro method for diagnosing Parkinson's disease in a human patient, which comprises the steps of:n (a) culturing cells in the presence of dopamine and serum of a patient to be tested for Parkinson's disease; and (b) measuring high-affinity dopamine uptake by said cells, and kits containing the same. |
