An improved process for purifying a polypeptide with a packing for high-performance liquid chromatography, which comprises preteating polypeptides produced by various cells into a given state, adjusting the pH of an aqueous solution of the polypeptides to fall within a specified range to thereby remove contaminants by precipitation, and treating the remaining solution with a packing for reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography. |
