Monoclonal antibody with specificity for human myosin light chains |
abstract |
The present invention provides a monoclonal antibody having specificity for the human myosin light chain from muscle and which also recognizes the common antigenic determinant of both myosin light chains from xenogeneic animal muscle and myosin light chains existing in the human serum of a patient with a muscle disease. n Such an antibody, for the first time, has made possible the establishment of a practical method of diagnosing patients with muscle diseases such as myocardial infarction by immunological assay of myosin light chains. |
