| abstract | A turntable (10) for connecting together an upper component (12) and a lower component (14) of an artificial member so that the two components are rotatable relative to each other about an axis for rotation (24) of a turntable, has an inner member (16) having a head portion (16E) and a neck portion (16N) for connecting said head portion to said lower limb component (14), as well as an external element (22) intended to be connected to said upper limb component (12) and comprising a part extending radially inwards (22I) adjacent to said neck part (16N) of the inner member (16) so that said head portion (16E) is rotatably trapped by said outer member (22). Said turntable comprises an annular adjustable support means (26) encircling the axis (24) and rotatable with said interior element (16). The support means (26) has an inclined surface (26U) facing inwards and upwards, which rests against a radial surface (26S) of the external element (22) of adjustable diameter, and arranged to push a support surface (16ES) of the inner member against a corresponding support surface (22IS) of said outer member to eliminate play between the two members. |
