abstract Corticoid 17 alkyl carbonates of the formula with A = CHOH in any steric arrangement, C = O, CH 2 ; Y = H, F, Cl; Z = H, F, CH 3 ; R (1) = Hal, O-acyl, carbonylalkyl, alkyl sulfonic acid, aryl sulfonic acid; R (2) = branched alkyl or (CH 2 ) 2 - 4 -OCH 3 and R (3) = H, methyl have excellent local and topical anti-inflammatory effects. They are characterized by a particularly good ratio of local to systemic anti-inflammatory activity and in some cases also show stronger local anti-inflammatory activities than their isomeric corticoid 17-alkyl carbonates with a linear alkyl group in the 17-alkyl carbonate part.
