A heated, unmelted and intimate mixture of a base metal and a superconductive oxide is subjected to sufficient pressure to form a densified article. Said densified article is either superconductive as such, or capable of being made superconductive by annealing in the presence of oxygen. Depending on the materials chosen, the densified article is stable at temperatures up to 1000 ° C. |
