Aqueous polymer dispersions, obtainable by polymerizing a monomer mixture containing 10 to 100% by weight of halogen-containing monomers in an aqueous medium according to the radical emulsion polymerization method, and adjusting the pH of the aqueous phase of the aqueous polymer dispersion obtained by adding of ammonia and primary and secondary amines different basic agents to a value of 5 to 10 and, based on the monomer mixture, 0.005 to 1 wt .-% of at least one active substance from the group glycerol, pivalic acid, paraldehyde, 2,6-di -tert.-butyl-p-cresol, benzophenone, alkyl-substituted benzophenones, thiosulfuric acid and its salts and oxalic acid and its salts are added, it being possible for both the addition of the basic agents and the at least one active substance to take place before, during and / or after the emulsion polymerization . |
