titleOfInvention | Conductive polymer-maleimide blends and method of producing same |
abstract | We describe a solution mixture consisting of (a) a conductive polymer comprising carbon-nitrogen bonds, such as polyaniline, and having an organic group or an inorganic group, for example derived from an anhydride or an acid. aromatic multisulfonic, which is covalently linked to nitrogen atoms of the polymer and (b) of a maleimide, in particular a bismaleimide, for example a bismaleimide prepared by the reaction of 1,3 bis (3 aminophenoxybenzene) with two d units maleic anhydride, or a bismaleimide-terminated oligomer, in a suitable solvent. When the solvent is removed to heat the bismaleimide until baking, a continuous phase mixture of polymer and conductive bismaleimide is formed, exhibiting good electrical conductivity and good solidity. Said mixture can be applied in solution as a coating on a substrate or treated to make a powder which can be compressed into parts. The conductive mixture can be melted and cooked without producing volatile substances. |
