3-oxygermylpropionic acid ([(O 1/2 )₃GeCH₂CH₂COOH] n ("3-OGP") has been known to have pharmacological activity, preferably with a stabiliser. n It is now found that 3-OGP is effective in treating cold syndrome, e.g. at a dose of 10 mg to 150 mg/kg body weight in humans, or a daily adult dose of 150 mg; e.g. in tablets. n Preferably the 3-OGP is used with an activating carrier, e.g. hydroxypropyl cellulose, in an amount of 0.005 to 50 % by weight per 0.005 to 20 % by weight of the OGP. |
