titleOfInvention | Method for securing a current collector to an electrode comprising a metallic spongeous supporting structure |
abstract | In the case of an electrode strip or electrode section already finished except for the arrester on the basis of a metal foam support frame, discrete, if necessary. points masked out, which are provided for contacting with discharge tabs, heated to approx. 450 C for a few seconds and then freed from the active mass present there by blowing out with compressed air. The action of heat, for which a hot air jet is particularly suitable, destroys the organic binder contained in the active material. Thanks to this pretreatment, clean metal surfaces are available for the welding of arrester lugs, the size of which is limited to the scope just required for the connection. |
