Disclosed are methods of producing specific monoclonal antibodies that can be used in sensitive immunoassay for the detection of synthetic pyrethroids in food and environmental samples. Appropriate sample preparation and enzymatic amplification of the immunoassay for this widely used class of pesticides allow detection at low levels in the laboratory and in samples analyzed in the field. |
