A method is described for removing odorous impurities from dimethyl ether which comprises contacting the dimethyl ether with an acidic clay, such as a montmorillonite clay. The dimethyl ether is conveniently pumped through a bed of the acidic clay in such a way that the contact time for treatment is about 10 to 20 seconds. |
