Method for producing chloroform by catalytic hydrogenolysis of carbontetrachloride in liquid phase, characterized in that carbontetrachloride in liquid phase is reacted with gaseous hydrogen or with a gas containing molecular hydrogen, at a pressure lower than 8000 kPa and a temperature lower than 250 °C, in the presence of a catalyst consisting of a metal selected in the group comprising palladium, rhodium, ruthenium and platinum, deposited on a substrate, sprayed and suspended in the liquid. The method is applicable to the industrial production of chloroform from carbontetrachloride. |
