titleOfInvention Sealing sleeve and its application
abstract A procedure which can be carried out easily for the connection of domestic outlet pipes to common sewers makes use of a special sealing sleeve (1), consisting of a tubular body (2) which is cylindrical externally and whose one side is closed by means of a thin elastic membrane (5), and on whose side opposite the membrane (5) there is fitted an outwardly projecting bead (4), and whose internal wall (3) forms essentially two stepped cones (15, 16), the wall thickness increasing towards the membrane. The domestic outlet pipe (6) is inserted into the common sewer together with the sealing sleeve (1) from the outside. The sealing sleeve (1) allows defective domestic outlet pipes to be repaired without major earthworks. n<IMAGE>
