titleOfInvention Test support for the analytical determination of a component in a sample fluid
abstract Test carrier for the analytical determination of a component of a sample liquid with the help of a specific binding reaction of two bioaffine binding partners. A plurality of test layers are arranged so that they are successively wetted by the liquid and form a liquid transport path, one of the test layers being a fixing layer (18) which has a porous carrier matrix. The first of the two binding partners is attached to this. The fixation layer (18) on the test carrier (10) is flowed through by the liquid, which contains the second binding partner, perpendicular to its surface.n n n A largely complete binding reaction in an extremely short time is achieved when flowing through the preferably very thin fixing layer (18) in that a microporous plastic layer with a pore size P of at least 0.01 μm is used as the carrier matrix, the size D of the second binding partner and the Pore size P of the plastic layer are coordinated so that the pore size P is at least two and at most ten times as large as the size D of the second binding partner.
