abstract A liquid toner image transfer improving apparatus includes an image support surface, a liquid toner image forming apparatus on the image support surface, as well as a second surface arranged to perform relative movement to said image support surface, so that the regions of the image support surface and the second surface come sequentially close to each other and then move away from each other. Said enhancement apparatus further comprises a potential printing apparatus associated with at least a part of at least one of the image support surfaces as well as the second surface in order to print a potential on said at least part, as well as an apparatus exciting said potential printing apparatus, only when said at least part is located at predetermined locations along the path, thereby giving a rigid shape to the image.
