abstract A reservoir for receiving exhaled air for the purpose of measuring lung function comprises a container (1) with two opposing inlets (5) which alternately receive exhaled air. Inside the container (1) are arranged either a piston (2) movable in the direction of the inlets (5) with switches (11) actuated when the piston (2) reaches the wall of the container (1), triggering a exchange of the inlet (5) which receives the exhaled air, i.e. two adjacent bags (14, 15) which, when they receive the exhaled air through one of the inlets, move towards each other, as well as a switch (11) which, when activated, changes the inlet (5) which receives the exhaled air.
