abstract The invention relates to a system for assembling an upright (1) of an orthosis of the lower or upper limbs and a branch (4) of a joint, a system in which the branch (1) of the joint forms a sheath, in the cavity (3) of which is engaged the end of the associated upright (1), this end and the branch of the sheath being rigidly secured to one another by at least one screw (8).n n n The system is characterized in that the end of the upright (1) engaged in the cavity (3) of the sheath is not in contact with the bottom of this cavity, in that its large faces (2) have a smaller width to that of the corresponding dimension of the sleeve cavity, while the same faces (2) of this amount external to this cavity have a greater width, so that the amount (1) is supported laterally by its sides perpendicular to the large faces ( 2) against the corresponding parts of the opening of the sheath, and in that the end of the upright engaged in the cavity (3) of the sheath is embedded in a solid adhesive material (9).
