abstract | A silver halide photographic material which provides good clear image quality, is suitable for rapid processing without adverse effect on film strength, and which has excellent handling properties with respect to safe-light safety and cule and dimensional changes, comprising a transparent support, having thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer, at least one hydrophilic colloid layer which contains at least one type of solid dispersed dye between said support and said silver halide emulsion layer and at least one hydrophilc collid layer which contains at least one type of water soluble dye on the opposite side of the support to the side having said silver halide emulsion layer, wherein the coated weight of the hydrophilic colloid in the hydrophilic colloid layer which contains said solid dispersed dye is not more than 0.5 g/m² and the ratio by weight of the solid dispersed dye/hydrophilic colloid is not more than 0.4. |
