titleOfInvention Process for manufacturing a shock-resistant liquid crystal switch and display
abstract By adding coronands or cryptands to FLC mixtures, it is possible to bring the FLC material into a homogeneous "bookshelf" or "quasi-bookshelf" geometry. When using such an FLC mixture, shock-damaged displays can be regenerated by brief treatment with an electrical field.
