Polyacrylic acid esters with ammonium salt groups, obtainable by transesterification of polyacrylic acid alkyl esters obtained by radical polymerization, the alkyl radicals of which have 1 to 8 carbon atoms, where up to 50% of the acrylic acid esters can be replaced by the corresponding methacrylic acid esters a) Compounds of the general formula and b) aliphatic alcohols with 8 to 22 carbon atoms or alkoxylated alkylphenols with 9 to 27 carbon atoms in the alkylphenol radical, the molar ratio of a): b) = 1: 9 to 9: 1, in amounts such that 5 to 70% of the ester groups are transesterified, and subsequent salt formation. n n n The compounds are distinguished by a reduced content of low molecular weight compounds compared to products obtained by copolymerization.n n n The compounds can be used as cationic surfactants, in particular as active ingredients in metal auxiliaries. |
