titleOfInvention | Process for producing injection moulded articles of PVC paste |
abstract | The invention relates to a process for the production of industrial parts from polyvinyl chloride pastes by injection moulding, using a polyvinyl chloride paste containing a vinyl chloride polymer composed of from 50 to 100% by weight of vinyl chloride, from 0 to 50% by weight of further monoethylenically unsaturated comonomers, from 0 to 20% by weight of polyethylenically unsaturated or functional comonomers, the vinyl chloride polymer being formed into a paste with the addition of a plasticiser, optionally with the addition of up to 20% by weight of crosslinking additives, based on the VC polymer content, optionally with the addition of a filler component, and the polyvinyl chloride paste is conveyed into the mould at a temperature of from 20 to 80 DEG C by metering pumps, piston units or screw units, gelled at a temperature of from 150 to 200 DEG C and optionally crosslinked, and the moulding formed is demoulded without cooling. |
