titleOfInvention APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MEASURING ELECTROLUMINESCENT PHENOMENES.
abstract Apparatus and method for measuring electrochemiluminescent phenomena (ECL) comprising a cell (14) having the configuration of an electrode for inducing the emission of ECL light by applying a selected wave voltage to a fluid specimen comprising one half ECL. The fluid specimen is transported to and from the cell (14) by means of a pump / pipeline system. A photomultiplier tube (20) detects the intensity of the light emitted by the fluid specimen during the measurement of the ECL phenomenon. A computerized control device (12) analyzes the detected data and provides digital control signals to the cell in order to generate the appropriate ripple voltages. The digital control signals are supplied to a new amplitude modulation digital / analog converter which produces a voltage wave with the desired slope.
