The invention relates to a renin inhibitor compound having the formula (I) wherein X represents N, O or CH; R1 is absent or represents a functional group; A and L are independently selected from C = O, SO2 and CH2 or are absent; D represents C = O, SO2 or CH2; Y represents N or CH; R2 represents hydrogen, lower alkyl or substituted alkyl; Z is a functional group; R3 represents lower alkyl or substituted alkyl; n is 0 or 1; T is a copy of the Leu-Val cleavage site for angiotensinogen or also describes a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, ester or prodrug of this compound. |
