titleOfInvention | Use of a hydroxyoctadécadiene acid, its keto-oxydized acid and their derivatives in the treatment of estrogen-dependent diseases, and pharmaceutical compositions thereof |
abstract | This invention describes the use of a hydroxyoctadecadienoic acid, its acids oxidized to the keto form or the ester derivatives of the acids, the ester derivatives being lower esters with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, for the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of estrogen-dependent diseases, in particular for the treatment of breast cancer or benign prostatic hyperplasia. Particularly suitable are those compounds in which the double bonds and the hydroxyl group or the oxo group are present on the carbon atoms with positions 9 to 13. |
