Testing device for bodily fluid |
abstract |
A water-disintegrable support material of the invention comprises paper made mainly of fibrous carboxymethylcellulose or carboxyethylcellulose with a degree of etherification of 0.1 to 1.0, wherein each of the fibrous cellulose derivatives has a degree of base saturation of 20 % or above and the solution or dispersion of the paper has a pH value ranging from 5.0 to 8.0. A water-disintegrable coating composition of the invention for coating the support comprises: a) at least one film-forming water-insoluble resin with a saturated moisture absorption rate of less than 15 % at a relative humidity of 90 %, b) at least one film-forming water-soluble resin with a saturated moisture absorption rate of 15 % or above, and c) a solvent for both of resins a) and b). A testing member for bodily fluids prepared by forming a reagent layer for testing the bodily fluids on at least part of the coating layer of the above material is excellent in the operability and stiffness in the test and the water-disintegrability after the test. |
