Filter body and process for its manufacture |
abstract |
Pollutants in waste water and exhaust gases, especially heavy metals, occur in industrial production and agriculture and pose an increasing threat to the environment. In order to avoid long-term enrichment due to insufficiently clarified waste water or exhaust gases, a filter body is proposed through which the media are passed and is able to remove the pollutants almost completely.n n n For this purpose, the filter body has a carrier body with a large number of continuous pore channels. Chemically and / or biologically active substances are attached to the walls of the pore channels and are exposed at least with part of their surface.n n n When using iron dust as chemically active substances, the filter body is particularly well suited for the separation of heavy metals present in waste water or exhaust gases. |
