titleOfInvention | Amino group-containing copolymerizates, process for producing them and their use in coating agents |
abstract | The invention relates to copolymers containing amino groups and having an amine number between 30 and 150 mg KOH / g and an average molecular weight between 1500 and 8000, which can be produced from copolymers containing groups alkyl ester by aminolysis with polyamines. Also described are a process for making them, as well as their use in coating agents. The copolymers containing alkyl ester groups can be produced by radical polymerization in solution at temperatures between 130 and 200 ° C, preferably between 150 and 180 ° C, from 5 to 25% by weight of vinyl ester, 10 to 50 % by weight of aromatic vinyl, 10 to 40% by weight of alkyl ester of olefinically unsaturated aliphatic carboxylic acids containing 1 to 6 C atoms in the alkyl residue, and optionally other monomers. The vinyl ester is put in and the other monomers are added as follows in the same time interval for all the monomers: 1) the amount of alkyl ester added per unit of time is constant. 2) 15 to 30% by weight of aromatic vinyl are added in the first third of the time period provided for the addition of the monomers, 25 to 40% by weight in the second third, and 35 to 60% by weight in the last third, these weight percentages being related to the total amount of aromatic vinyl. |
