titleOfInvention | METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TREATING BONE DISEASES. |
abstract | A passive exercise treatment method and device has been developed that increases the amount, strength and correct anatomical distribution of bones in a patient with bone problems. The method includes determining an impact load value, impact speed, and treatment duration for the patient to provide treatment for bone problems, and repeatedly lifting the patient's heels to a prescribed drop height, then allowing the patient's heels to drop from the prescribed drop height to give the predetermined impact load at the predetermined impact speed for the duration of the predetermined treatment. This process can be implemented using a device comprising a pivoting platform (32), a pivoting lifting lever (40) connected to the pivoting platform (32), a cam follower (42 ) located below a free end of the lifting lever (40), a cam (44) engaging the cam follower (42), as well as a motor (46) rotatably coupled to the cam (44) . |
