titleOfInvention | Catalyst component for olefin polymerization |
abstract | A catalyst component supported on a metallic oxide, which has a high catalytic activity, leaves only a small quantity of catalyst residue in the polymer formed, is scarcely deteriorated even after being stored for a long period of time, and has a particle strength improved to withstand practical use, prepared by: bringing a metallic oxide into contact with a dihydrocarbylmagnesium; bringing the resultant product into contact with a compound of the general formula X1nM(OR1)m-n (wherein X1 represents hydrogen, halogen or C¿1? to C20 hydrocarbyl, M represents boron, carbon, aluminum, silicon or phosphorus atom, R?1¿ represents C¿1? to C20 hydrocarbyl, m is the valence of M, and m > n » 0) and a titanium alkoxide of the general formula Ti(OR?2)¿4 (wherein R2 represents C¿1? to C12 hydrocarbyl) to form a solid material; bringing the solid material into contact with an olefin in the presence of an organoaluminum compound; and bringing the resultant product with a halogenated alcohol and then with both of an electron donating compound and a titanium compound. |
