titleOfInvention | Process for removal of nitrogen oxides from gases |
abstract | Process for removing nitrogen oxides from gases in which the molar ratio NO to NO₂ in this gas is first set to 1 and then the nitrogen oxides are absorbed in an aqueous ammonia solution, ammonium nitrate being formed. In order to achieve the desired molar ratio in a simple manner, it is provided that in order to adjust the molar ratio NO to NO₂ NO₂ is injected in a controlled manner into the gas which is formed from the reaction of the ammonium nitrate with a strong acid. |
