abstract | Process for the preparation of 3-benzoylbenzofuran derivatives of general formula n<IMAGE>n characterised in that a benzofuran derivative of general formula: n<IMAGE>n is reacted successively in situ, in the presence of aluminium chloride, first of all with phosgene or oxalyl chloride, then with a phenol derivative of general formula: n<IMAGE>n to obtain a complex which is hydrolysed to form the desired 3-benzoylbenzofuran compound. |
