The invention relates to a method for fabricating an optical lens with modulated refraction index, characterized in that, starting preferably from a lens made of transparent hydrophilic polymer of hydrogel type, previously shaped, the lens is impregnated with a photopolymerizable composition comprising at least one monomer and one photo-initiator, which are particularly dissolved in water for a hydrogel, the impregnated lens is subjected to a locally modulated irradiation causing a selective local polymerization of the monomer, and the excess of photo-initiator and unpolymerized monomer is removed. |
