abstract |
One method of quantitatively measuring an acid in a polar organic solvent is to add a sterically inhibited base such as diisopropylethylamine, triethylamine or N-methylmorpholine to the solvent, and to measure the conductance of the mixture. This method applies in particular to the control of the progression of coupling reactions with preactivation and deprotection in the synthesis of peptides in solid phase. |
