2-Chloro-m-xylene is separated from a chloroxylene isomer mixture by adsorptive separation using a simulated moving bed with a faujasite type zeolite adsorbent in the presence of a substituted benzene compound (preferably toluene or chlorobenzene). The desired isomer is separated as the extract component. |
