A sample (1), creating fluorescent radiation brought into imaging or other relationship, is pulsed with laser radiation (2) to a detector (6) detecting from said sample (1) and in a plurality of spectral intervals (6A to 6D), in order to obtain intensity values. Radiation can be detected in an imaging relationship, creating a multiplicity of said pluralities. The spectral intervals can be defined in wavelength by band pass filters (5A-5D), or spectral intervals in time defined by time intervals, controlled by a computer (7), carrying out a numerical evaluation comprising a division. The character of the fabrics can then be assessed from the evaluation. |
