Novel novolaks of the phenol-dense aldehyde type |
abstract |
Formophenolic novolak resins resulting from the condensation of phenols with aldehyde compositions containing at least 50 % aliphatic aldehydes possessing 6 or more carbon atoms. Said resins are obtained from unusually high aldehyde-phenol molar ratios. Application as reinforcing resins for rubbers: they impart a low viscosity to raw mixtures and an excellent hardness to vulcanized products. |
