Process for the preparation of brominated aromatic and heterocyclic compounds containing the acceptor groups consists in the bromination of aromatic and heterocyclic compounds which have acceptor groups with bromine or with salts of hydrobromic acid, the process being carried out in the presence of sulfuric acid or of the oleum in combination with nitric acid or its salts at a temperature of 20 to 120 ° C with the following molar ratios of the reagents per 1 mol of a starting compound: bromine from 0.5 to 3.2 or salt of hydrobromic acid from 1.0 to 7, 0, nitric acid from 0.5 to 3.0 or a salt of nitric acid from 1.0 to 4.0. Sulfuric acid or oleum from 6.0 to 70.0.n n n The compounds obtained are used as antipyrenes, as intermediates in the synthesis of dyes, pigments, herbicides and in other fields. |
