Dna binding proteins including androgen receptor |
abstract |
DNA sequences encoding DNA binding polypeptides comprising an androgen receptor (AR) as well as TR2 polypeptides have been developed. By way of illustration, the human and rat AR cDNA have expression products of the polypeptides 79 kD and 98 kD which can be immunologically precipitated by human auto-immune anti-androgen receptor antibodies and are capable of binding androgens specifically and with great affinity. Antibodies, immunological methods and materials for the detection of the androgen receptor and TR2 polypeptides, and hybridization methods and materials for the detection of RA and acids have also been developed. nucleic acids relating to TR2. |
