abstract |
Aqueous concentrates useful for the treatment of wastewaters and the like are formed by acidifying aminomethylated flocculants (Mannich polymers) prepared from acrylamide-containing polymers, secondary amines and formaldehyde. The protonated concentrates have a solids content in excess of one percent (1%) and are formed by the rapid addition of the acid component to the Mannich polymer. A preferred acid component comprises a mixture of an organic acid and mineral acid. |
