abstract |
The invention converges a modified polysaccharide material comprising (1) polysaccharide covalently linked to a synthetic polymer, (2) the synthetic polymer being produced from (a) a polymerizable compound which can be covalently coupled directly or indirectly to said audit polysaccharide, and (b) one or more polymerizable compounds containing (i) a chemical group capable of causing the covalent coupling of compound (b) to an affinity ligand, or to a biologically active molecule or (ii) a hydrophobic compound. The invention also relates to devices allowing the chromatographic separation of at least two components of a mixture comprising the modified polysaccharide material of the invention, in which the device is configured to allow a radial or tangential flow. |
