Polyhydroxydiamines are proposed as saccharide derivatives with the advantage of reduced toxicity, better skin tolerance and biodegradability compared to known petrochemical-based diamines. In particular, derivatives of saccharides each having an amino group in two monosaccharide units, especially diaminodideoxy derivatives of reducing disaccharides such as isomaltulose, trehalulose, maltose, lactose and leucrose, have these properties. |
