abstract |
To prepare stearidonic acid from a mixture of fatty acids from the saponification of a lipid containing it, high performance liquid chromatography in reverse phase is used, choosing the composition of the eluent and the concentration of fatty acids in the solutions injected into the column. Reinjection of the enriched fraction obtained leads to stearidonic acid of 98% purity.n n n Stearidonic acid is used in the manufacture of pharmaceutical compositions against cardiovascular and thromboembolic diseases associated with platelet aggregation. |
