titleOfInvention Apparatus for controlling radiation with a modulated active surface
abstract The invention relates to a mammography-type radiology system in which there is provided a radiation controller comprising a detector 22, 23 of X-rays having passed through the breast to be observed, of the type comprising a converter of radiation 22 of X-rays into photon radiation and a photomultiplier tube 23 of the photons emitted by the converter. The invention resides in the fact that the converter is masked by a band 29 opaque to photonic radiation except in areas whose variable dimensions are provided to adapt to the different shapes of breasts. The strip 29 is driven by a motor 34 and stops under the control of the practitioner so that the appropriate zone is in correspondence with the converter 22.
