abstract |
The present invention relates to dehydrated rare earth halides and a process for their production.n n n It relates more particularly to a rare earth halide of the chloride, bromide or iodide type containing less than 1.5% by weight of water and less than 3% by weight of oxyhalide. This halide is obtained by dehydration of a hydrated halide by passing a current of a halogenated dehydrating agent (halogen hydride) through the mass to be dehydrated. |
