TNF-receptor, TNF-binding protein and DNA coding therefor |
abstract |
DNA sequences coding for a TNF-binding protein and for the TNF receptor of which this protein represents the soluble domain. The DNA sequences can be used for the preparation of recombinant DNA molecules for the preparation of TNF-binding protein and TNF receptor. Recombinant TNF-binding protein is used in pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of indications in which an adverse effect of TNF occurs. The TNF receptor or fragments thereof, or suitable host organisms transformed with recombinant DNA molecules containing the DNA coding for the TNF receptor, or fragments or modifications thereof, can be used to test substances for their interaction with the TNF receptor and/or for their influence on the biological effect of TNF. |
