titleOfInvention | Regulation of expression of gm-csf gene |
abstract | Method for controlling the expression of the granulocyte / macrophage colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF) in cells which express GM-CSF or for controlling the expression of other hematopoietic cytokines containing DNA sequences Ck-1 or Ck-2 in the cells in which they are expressed, this method consisting in regulating the binding of the nuclear protein (s) in said cells with Ck-1 and Ck2 in the promoter region of the gene GM-CSF or said hemotopoietic cytokine genes. This operation of regulating the binding of the nuclear protein (s) with sequences of Ck-1 and Ck-2 can consist in inducing or promoting the binding or else in preventing or inhibiting this binding. For example, the regulation of the binding of the nuclear protein (s) can be carried out using the DNA of a sequence which will exert a competitive inhibition on the binding of the protein (s). |
