2.1 Aqueous coating agents have so far often been poorly weatherproof and could not be used as clear lacquer coatings. The new coating agents are said to result in weatherproof, heat-curable coatings that can also be used as top coats.n n n 2.2 The heat-curable aqueous coating compositions contain 20 to 45% by weight of an amine resin crosslinking agent and 80 to 55% by weight of a polyester oligomer polyacrylate which is water-soluble after neutralization with bases and has a hydroxyl number of 150 to 390 and an acid number of 16 to 40, the by radical polymerization of a hydroxy-functional (meth) acrylic acid ester, a monofunctional ethylenically unsaturated acid and optionally an α, β-ethylenically unsaturated monomer without functional groups, in a polyester oligomer.n n n 2.3 Manufacture of weatherproof pigmented and unpigmented coatings. |
