abstract Magnetizable microspheres with a diameter of 0.05 to 10 µm comprising a core of magnetizable particles and a shell made up of a hydrophobic crosslinked copolymer derived from a vinylaromatic monomer and a crosslinking emulsifying polymer.n n n They are obtained by preemulsion in water of a magnetic fluid formed of magnetizable particles in dispersion in a vinyl aromatic monomer and in a crosslinking emulsifying polymer, polymerization, separation of the magnetizable microspheres and possible redispersion in water. Use in biology.
